1. Open the Day Report menu
Navigate to the DAY REPORT button on the starting screen:
The software will now ask you to enter a date range. By default, this will be on one day. When closing the cash register over a longer period of time, a longer range can be entered:
2. Overview day
You will now be taken to the overview of the day:
At the top, you can see the status of the current report, when the register was last closed, and the total revenue for that day:
Below that, you'll see a more detailed breakdown of the day with the total amount of cash and totals from other payment methods.
You will also see a fluctuations button. You can click on this if you need to enter payments or expenses that have nothing to do with a sale. Think, for example, of coffee capsules for use by the staff, but also when money is brought from the cash register to the safe or the bank:
3. Fluctuations
After clicking on this button, you will see the total overview of all fluctuations:
To create a new fluctuation, enter the date of the fluctuation, the user, the account to which the fluctuation should be posted, the amount and the description:
In the amount field, make sure that you put a minus sign in front of the amount if money is withdrawn from the cash register:
When you're done, click add:
If you have made a mistake, you can still delete the fluctuation by clicking the DELETE button. Keep in mind that once the day is closed, the fluctuation can no longer be removed:
If you want a detailed overview of all fluctuations, press the EXPORT EXCEL button:
You will now get the following overview in an Excel file:
You can also access the "fluctuations" window during the day directly from the main screen:
4. Closing the cash register
When you're done, you can return to the previous screen, where you'll see the fluctuation you've just created appear in the overview:
Once everything has been filled out and you are sure that the amounts are correct, you can close the register by clicking on CLOSE REGISTER :
The software will now ask for confirmation again by means of the following pop-up:
After confirmation, the register will be closed and the status at the top of the page will change to "closed":
5. Printing Reports
During or after closing the register, you have the option to print one or more reports:
The most important report here is the daily report, which gives you a brief overview per payment method, printed via the receipt printer. More detailed reports are also available if required.
